Newbie, be gentle (2/9)

  1. Hi, Hil - I buy leather martingales for my IGs from May Schabelreiter. I think she has 6 hounds adopted from GINN. The dog (especially sighthound) world is a small one
  2. I have 2 IGs who are prone to 'gurgle tummy' during the night. Like Trudy, I've found a snack before bedtime normally prevents the tummy issue.
  3. I've fostered lots of broken legged IGs during wintertime, and Press 'N' Seal Glad Wrap is my lifesaver. While the casts and bandages I have to cover are not as big as you'll encounter, the Glad Wrap goes on quickly, actually clings, and will keep casts/bandages dry even in rain or snow. A sock pulled over the top will keep any exposed toes warm, too. Good luck!
  4. Poor Fritz and poor you! It's amazing what dogs will chew on, huh? His poor tongue, though - ouch! I'll bet it was a shock to see it.
  5. We have a former foster who had to have her salivary glands drained several times - they were blocked and infected - and they were finally removed.
  6. Hi, Katie - I'm up by Eau Claire with my 'little greyhound cousins' (Italian Greyhounds).
