Honestly, the vigilance with gates and leashes ends up not feeling like a constant worry, but just safe habits. I remember early in my own Greyhound journey, I spent time helping a local Greyhound owner look for her lost hound. The dog's name was Rain. We never found her. She'd been staying at the home of a friend and got out through a gate someone left open. I remember her story now, almost 20 years later. It's just a solid reminder to be careful with the dog you'll grow to adore. They really are wonderful companions.

This was Ma's haul ob plants yesterday: There's chard, 6 flowers, a dill, 2 tomatoes, and a fuchsia. Plus 2 lingering ferns that need to be planted. Here's some snapdragons that overwintered in the flower pots. Here are 2 ob the baby Amaryllis bulbs that are now big enough to bloom and Ma's delighted to see that! Plus some ob the pansies they enjoyed this winter. Plus the bird baff and the squirrel and chickamonk water bowl. Seedlings in the garden...closest are snap peas, middle are lettuce plants, and in the back are English peas. Ma's neber grown any ob those before, so she's excited about them. She's unlikely to get anything planted today, though, on account ob she has to edge and mow today and it's apposed to get to 83 degrees. For Ma, that is HOT and she'll get tired from the edging and mowing and sweating. Nate
