  1. Welcome from Maryland! Lucie is really beautiful!
  2. I am so, so sorry to hear about your Nina. I have always enjoyed the pictures you posted of her, especially with her ballerina tutu and pearls. Thank you for giving such a sweet little girl a home, even if it was for a short time. I hope your memories of her bring you comfort.
  3. Hi and welcome from Maryland. Violet is a beautiful girl!! I guess I am biased because I have a brindle girl too!
  4. Welcome from Maryland! Sky Boy is gorgeous!

  8. Welcome from Maryland. Gracie is really pretty and it looks like she loves her stuffies! My Breeze also loves stuffies and she loves to run through the house with them. Good luck in your grey search and remember to post pictures of your new grey when you finally adopt!
  9. Greyt pictures! I love the round patch on Popeye's eye! Your girls are adorable too!
  10. Breeze does this too. When my husband gives her a rubdown on the sides of her thighs, she snaps, jumps around and wags her tail like crazy. When she first did it, we thought she didn't like being rubbed, but now realize it means she does. Glad to hear other greys do this too!
  11. Beautiful family picture! I love the fold over ears!
  12. I know how you feel! I lurked for months and feel like I know everyone here too. We will also be looking forward to your new grey this summer- don't forget to post pictures when your grey arrives! Welcome!
  13. We have dog parks run by the county and we meet a greyhound playgroup every Saturday morning very early before most sensible people are awake on a weekend (6:30-7:00am). It gives them a chance to run together (there are about 13 greys in the group). All are muzzled when they run, and we leave as the other breeds start arriving. It gives our greys some socializing opportunities too!
  14. We had ours chipped on her first vet visit after we adopted her. We would never want to take the chance in case she slipped her collars.
  15. My grey only barks when we are at the dog park with the greyhound playgroup and she wants to RUN!
  16. I hope she is feeling better soon. Extra treats are definitely in order for this one! Here you go Lexie!
  17. Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome!
  18. Thank you Carol, posting the picture was easier than I thought!
  19. Hi! My name is Kathy and my DH and I adopted our beautiful brindle girl, Breeze, just over a year ago. I have been lurking on GT for months now and have decided to make ourselves known. My gorgeous girl is 7 years old, and has brought a tremendous amount of joy in our lives. My husband is retired (I work full time) so he and Breeze walk about 1 1/2 hours a day- he has lost 30 pounds walking her- what a greyt exercise regimen! I am going to try to post a picture of our beautiful girl:
  20. One more test: Yay! It worked! Thanks for all the great instructions posted in this thread!
