  1. Poor Punkin! She looks cute though. Also curious about the woowoo drops and if they would help a certain houndie who will destroy the house when left alone?
  2. A houndie wants what a houndie wants. And a houndie gets what a houndie wants.
  3. Happy 12th birthday Punkin! Look at that sweet face! And your snow already!
  4. I'm so happy for all of you! Great pictures and video (look at Willa go!) but I really want to know what happened once Doolin got into the sea.
  5. AnnIE, you are so much like Wiki! And because of that, I know that it was a Black Bandit who stole a scone, not you! And getting right back up after a slip, that just shows that you're in great shape! PS for mom - fabulous just add water scone mixes https://custombakehouse.com/collections/stickyfingers-landin-page
  6. How did I miss this exciting news all weekend? He seems like a very sweet, good boy. And handsome too! I'm glad you'll be visiting him again next weekend.
  7. Don't worry, she did get some of the "bones".
  8. Congratulations on the new guy! Sorry it's off to a poopy start. That does sound like hookworms. Getting another check is a great place to start. What to feed is tough. There are so many foods out there! Unfortunately I think it is a matter of trial and error to see what works for your guy. What works for one dog won't work for another. I would start with one of the big brands like Purina, they have a ton of different formulas and they actually do feeding trials that the smaller brands don't. Also consider that just settling into a new home can cause some digestive upset. I'd probably not start making drastic changes too soon. Good luck, you'll figure it out! Also, we love pictures around here.....
  9. A 20 year old greyhound really is an outlier. I suspect it’s genetics more than anything. Good routine care helps, but it doesn’t guarantee anything. I do also think about quality of life at that point too. I don’t know the dogs being discussed here but wonder if they really were really living their normal lives or if they were just existing due to extensive efforts by the humans.
  10. Wiki sleeps like that too! I was going to say that they are the same person but then I remembered that AnnIE sleeps in the car and lays down nicely for the lieberry kids' storytime. Those are both a big no for the Black Bandit.
  11. I don't mean to be a one-upper, but this is what I found when I came in from mowing the lawn leaves.
  12. Pinata! With the leg broken off! You're a genius! And sweet Willa looks very pleased with it too.
  13. Ah Rachel, that sucks! And I'm with you that even though it doesn't make sense, I'd think the chemo would kill them too. I guess this means Profender isn't the solution either. Wiki actually had her 6 month check a couple weeks ago and it's as it always is - antigen positive, no ova present, and she's asymptomatic. I'll take it and hope that nothing triggers the dormant little monsters to become active.
  14. Punkin! And AnnIE doing what AnnIE does. Can you please send instructions to Wiki for how to ride in the car nicely?
  15. Doolin, you are indeed cute, but watch your manners!
  16. Sign me up! Thanks for coordinating again.
  17. What a great time you all had together! You're great houndie parents. I hope that when the time is right, and the right dog comes along, you'll open your home and hearts to another.
  18. I am so sorry! I really thought he had turned the corner and was going to improve. You took such good care of him!
