Oh I'm so very sorry. What a shock. GodSpeed sweet Hot Rod.
  4. Sam, the wonder mutt, has lots of food allergies. So we went no grain and he was still having issues. The vet suggested we try a novel (at least to him) protein and fowl anything is most gentle. So I feed Natural Balance Potato and Duck. Lovely as lovely can be poo and no allergy issues for Sam.
  5. Jay - I'm so very sorry. How brave sweet Cody was to battle the beast and how brave you were to be able to let him go. GodSpeed handsome Cody.
  6. My Maggie was home just a few weeks when she bit my DS on the face. He was just walking by her while she was awake on the sofa - not looking at her, not touching her, not gesturing to her - and he got bit. My DH was ready to send her back. But I realized the situation was my fault - I gave her far too much privilege and latitude. Revoking furniture lounging, touching her while she was on her bed, hanging on her, etc. stopped right away. Now she needs permission to get up on the couch (although it's anything goes when we're not home. You're lucky that she'll give a warning growl. It sounds like you're doing all the right stuff. So glad your son and Sherry have made up!
  7. I'm so sorry Jay. Hope the tide will turn and he'll eat something.
  8. Oh congratulations!!! She's lovely!!! Sounds like she's fitting right in and making herself at home!! Wishing you many happy adventures!!
  9. Continued prayers for sweet Pudge. Hoping some Momma and Gracie lovin' will make her feel better.
  10. I'm so very sorry Diane. GodSpeed to your very handsome guy.
  11. My fav vets weren't working today. And no one to run an x-ray. The dr. I spoke to didn't feel as though I needed to take her to e-vet. Appointment for tomorrow. Of course, since i made the appointment, Maggie has not coughed at all. Isn't that always the way. I'll update after the appointment. Thank you all for the advise and good thoughts.
  12. The last 5 days or so, Maggie has been coughing. She's also been eating quite a bit of grass and I attributed the cough/hack to the grass. Not much vomiting and really only grass comes up.(sorry so graphic) She's never been a great breakfast eater - only drinks "the gravy". But dinner is eaten without issue. Poop is good and regular. Yesterday she was literally glued to my side - more than usual. I got up late this morning and DH said she was whining and "crying" on her bed. And coughing. When I got up and came downstairs, she's again glued to me and coughing. Time for the vet? I only hesitate because her only real symptom is coughing.
  13. Not able to give any advise. But hugs and smooches to your boy. Hope he recovers quickly.
  14. I'm so very sorry your sweet Penny had to leave. GodSpeed Penny.
  15. I'm sorry - no advise - no experience. But I'm really good at smooching and hugging on mutt pups (just ask my Sam). So many are sent along with some prayers.
  16. Now there's some good cheer!!!!!! YEAH Arrow!!!
