6 1/2 years here. And I sometimes have company in the shower. She has beds in all the usual rooms as well as the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. And at this point - it's hard to figure who's enabling who.

WOW - I've really gotten this messed up. Maggie has trained me to open the back door when she stands in front of me and tilts her head, give her the screaming monkey when she barks at me and give her hugs and kisses when she flips her long nose under my elbow. I, on the other hand, have trained her to look pretty and lounge about smartly. Oh wait - she already knew how o do that stuff. I gave up on most commands. She's just not treat motivated or inclined to work. That's OK with me!

Me too. I like the walking stick because I can swing it a bit to keep even overly eager sniffers away. I've also started carrying pepper spray stuff (I forget the brand) that will stop humans too. It's going to take another dog lots and lots of effort to get at Maggie. The stories of greyhound attacks on this board are terrifying.

Poor Chevy, poor you. I'm so very sorry you all have to go through this. What a horrific nightmare. Many prayers coming for your sweet boy. Hugs coming for you. And I'm also glad that there isn't any friction over the vet bill - that's a headache you just don't need.
