Saying goodbye to the beautiful greyhounds and their friends who left us in June 2022. As you run with the wind send a caress to wipe our tears.

Gone but never forgotten. Loved forever. Run free with those who have gone before you. Greet all those that will follow.

They'll always be with us, just slightly beyond the point that we can see with our eyes. In our heart, though, they'll be bright and clear, as they always were.

Please add Cassy(greyhound) who died on 6/22/2022.  She was my puppy.

  2. Sounds like my angel Easy. When she was 10 yrs, she lost weight. Could see her ribs. My old vet thought Easy had Kidney problem. The vet did urine culture, but came out neg. Did blood pressure checked up. We did everything like you did. Changed the food, still she didn't want to eat. She was picky eater all the time. I met Dr. Cuoto at Dewey, and told him about her problem. Sent him her CBC and urine analysis.

Found out, she was getting old and being a picky eater. She lived 4more years after this episode. She went the bridge with Osteo not kidney at 14 years old.

Hope Snow is just being a picky eater, not kidney problem. A big hug to you and Snow

Ps: Easy had only 14 teeth when we got her at 8 years old.

  3. I am in Tidewater VA. The closest specialty groups are in Richmond which is about an hour's drive...not bad if Red is stabilized this evening...it's a matter of what the heck is causing this and is it recoverable...should I put him through it all if the probability is poor etc....Just trying to do the best I can for my boy knowing so little about this...it's very complex with no known cause : (

Can you drive ~3hours to come to Fairfax, VA? If so, there is South paws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center.

They are the best vets in Northern Virginia.

    Good luck.

  4. My first grey, Rowdy, had IBD. The GI vet gave him Tylan power (you can buy it w/o prescription) and Metamucil. It would take a few weeks to get better. But it works. Never had any problems. He died with spleen cancer, not IBD.

    Good luck!

    :bighug to your pup.
