  1. woohoooo...awesome!!! Looks like they are at the top of my list right now! Thank you ckruzan... On a side note...I've always been fascinated by Greyhounds...but now I appreciate them. I see what they mean that once you adopt a Grey, you will always have one. It's been ONE WEEK AND I'M HOOKED! <---- that's my Chance xoxo
  2. I appreciate everyone's response, but thank you Zoolaine for your very descript response. That is EXACTLY what I needed! I agree that the main reason to get it is peace of mind. I own my own place and live alone...so it's just me and Chance and I would do the same...go to the ends of the earth to save my pets. I just dont think i can take a chance on not being covered "in some way!" I was going to check out the ASPCA page to see what types of insurance they have as well...even if it's something basic, it is better than nothing. I can always upgrade. Plus, you are so right about "saving" the money and putting in a savings account...IT NEVER HAPPENS...it disappears somewhere...so I'd rather put it to this. Keep the ideas coming if anyone knows of a great insurance! And thank you for all the welcome wishes!
  3. hello...this is my 2nd post...loving it here!! I just got my first pet of my own since I was younger, and so I got my first Grey 8 days ago. I rescued him from an agency here in NJ....he is a 3 year old male...white with black ticking....and he's amazing.(Actually looks like the guy at the top of the page haha) We are going through our ups and downs being everything is so new to him, but I couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments thus far! I certainly know he is enjoying his forever home too....I spoil him with body massages (loves the butt one haha) and kisses... My question today is ....to get dog insurance, or not to get dog insurance. I've heard pros and cons, and also heard different reviews of different companies. Any suggestions on policies AND do I even need it? Besides having a sensitive stomache (might be common, no?!) he doesn't have any other issues, so do I hold off on the big insurance for if he gets something serious?? I'm NEW to all this, so any advice will be greatly appreciated!
