  1. There is a GREYT in MD,I don't know anything about them But if you mean GREAT of TampaBay,They have never bought a dog from CL. GREAT does not pull dogs from shelters.
  2. Welcome from St Petersburg. There is a 4yr male Red Brindle on Craig's List of TampaBay this week. My group has no room and other groups in the area have been notified. Owner passed.
  3. I have a Stormy. He is 12 and a spook from day one. He was bounced 3 times due to his quirkiness. He has been here for 6years and it doesn't get better with age. We use the Freedom Harness, Wags,Wiggles & Whiskers brand. It is simple to put on ,has velvet under the arms and a martingale loop on the top to pull him up like a suitcase when he freezes. I don't leave home without it. I must saw he did wonderful at Mountain Hounds with 350 hounds there.
  4. No problem unless they through it up on the rugs... It's what they did back before KFC
  5. I have a quirky boy who out of the blue nipped our neighbor on the front walk. They have a GSD that challenges our dogs through a 6ft wood fence. I said sorry and baked them cookies. 2 weeks later a neighbor walks up to us ( we have 4 dogs) and bad boy nipped his leg and drew blood. I did the sorry and he said ok . I baked them a pie and promised that bad ass would never be out side our fence without muzzle. Bad ass now only walks with the pack with a muzzle. Happy 4 years now and no challenges.
  6. Beautiful boy. I would not put him in a wire crate with that collar on, choke hazard.
  7. Our vet is against the 6month injection. He said the disclaimers patients must sign off is scarey. Google has plenty of horror stories about it also. I use Comfortis and Adams spray if they bring freeloaders in from the sandy alleys. For heart worm prevention ,I use Nuheart form PetShed ( cheap)
  8. When I got my fearful boy,I knew he had failed 3 foster homes. I was told my best advise will be TIME and a BOTTLE. The more time at your new environment the less you may need from the bottle. After 5 years, he loves home visits, some 40 foster dogs, a 26 year old cat, vet visits , neighbors, treats from kids BUT keep him out of a petstore. I still scratch my head when I had to carry 76 pounds of snapping dog to the van!.
  9. My standard 55 pound female poodle had been leaking during sleep. She is 9 After ruling out UTI we have been on 1MG stilbesterol per week. I would forget and oops. so now I give 1/2 dosage on Sunday ( when I wind granpa clock) and Wednesday. No side effects.
  10. I would request a refund. It claims to massage the gums! It to shall pass
  11. Poodle eats slick magazines and we have confetti all over the neighbor
  12. my 73# boy is 11yo and eats 2cups AM and 2cups PM and has the same weight for 6years. He will get 3-4 milk bones around noon and usually licks out my yogert container Yes he eats Iams green bag
  13. new foster from Derby Lane. Hi Noon N Cognito
  14. I would remove a martingale collar ,baby proof the house, protect low windows and let her roam. She has already been in a home, I suspect they would know if she was destructive. When I do home visits and find a dog will be crated alone 8-10 hours daily, I suggest they get a cat.
  15. Dogs that were kenneled were usually fed in their crate and on the floor. I bet if you put some sliced turkey or a hot dog in the bowl, it would disappear with your back turned!
  16. Never had an issue with comfortis. I have chewable tabs for 60-120 pound dog. Dal is 90,Grey is 78, poodle is 58 and new foster is 66. New foster has few fleas so I gave her a tab after meal. 2 hours later she throws it all up. Is dosage too much . I may go back to Frontline plus for her.
  17. male vs female is not the question. It's being young and not socialized yet. You may need a harness for more control, if you think you could loose him on walks. As the song goes "Time and the bottle".. Time for him and a bottle for you. You will have a different acting dog in a few months.
  18. We had a 3yo foster who could not eat anything without bloody poop. After sensitivity testing only white fish or kangaroo was almost tolerable. He went on "THRIVE" and was much better. He was adopted knowing of is IBD. It was sloppy to eat but went down well.
  19. I have ASPCA coverage. 10 yr boy is 29..00 mo. 100/yr deduct. pays 80% no routine stuff. A 600 rip from a foster cost me 125.
  20. I think the only reverse this guy had was at the track ,a happy early retirement.....at least he got out of the box,lol
  21. My neighbor has adopted 2 black labs about 1 1/2 years old. They have been bouncing around enough small bags of various brands to start a warehouse. I suggested donating to Humane Society and try Iams. It's a crap shoot anyway you look at it.
