  1. Looking for some good comfort food in Gettysburg? Check out this article for some recommendations. Great fries and cheesesteaks at Hunts Battlefield Fries and Cafe.
  2. If you’re looking for a really fun way to tour the battlefield try Gettypeds. Our Boston friends recommended this to us last year. We took the tour and loved it!

Dewey Beach 2015 We loved your shy, gentle boy, Robin. We are so sorry that he is gone. We will toast to him at Gettysburg.
  4. So happy for you, Don and Chris! Congrats!!
  5. Someone just posted on the GIG Facebook page that they booked a room at the QI.
  6. Jackie, keep calling the QI. They will have a cancellation closer to the event.
  7. We will be there from Thursday to Sunday. We are at the glorious Quality Inn downtown. Cant wait! Do not miss the Reliance Mine Saloon, GIG-sters. It is the best!
  8. Momma still misses you, Murray. Three years later, and Im still missing you.
  9. Im so sorry. Thats beyond awful to lose two dogs in such a short period of time. How lucky they both were to have you as their momma.
  10. I’m so sorry to see this, Don and Chris. Rocket was one of a kind and a huge part of the Greytalk community. Your tribute was as special as your one of a kind boy. Please know that we are thinking about you both and sending you a hug across the miles. I know that Bee Wiseman and Murray welcomed Rocket at the Bridge with a big bucket of Thrasher’s fries. I am crying while writing this thinking of our three hounds gone from this earth. Thank you for sharing Rocket with all of us. We will never forget him. Love, Tricia & Burke
  11. The weather is fantastic! Finally
  12. Im so sorry, Greg. What a great life she had with you.
  13. Were getting in on Wednesday night! Yay!
  14. Amen, sister. My vet recommends the Seresto collars. All three dogs have tolerated them just fine.
  15. Lucky Hare is great. Never heard of Bandwagon. So right on Scalehouse assessment. Their meatballs are so good. Their beer is ok.
  16. We heard a few people mention The Elf in the Oak this year. All of them said it was terrific. Haven’t been there yet. We had another fantastic meal at Hazelnut Kitchen in Trumansburg last night. I can’t say enough good things about that place. We also discovered how beautiful Geneva is. We’ve never spent any time up there until this year. Looking forward to exploring their restaurants more next year.
  17. Five minutes up the road is Warhorse Brewing. They have a couple of nice IPAs. Wish we knew that earlier in the week. They have one called Lt. Dan which is pretty good. They are attached to Three Brothers Winery which was filled with one bridal party after another, though, so we will never do that on a Saturday again. Screechy young girls were everywhere. So annoying.
  18. There is a cafe with a covered deck at Hunt Country Vineyards. Great to know if you're looking to have a lunch stop with your hounds. It's over on Keuka.
  19. Nancy, we made it all the way up to Bottomless Brewing yesterday. The beer was wet. They do have very cool bathrooms in that place. Do not miss seeing the men’s room and the ladies room. I think we’re headed to Keuka Lake to try out those new (to us) places. The highlight of the day yesterday was Boundary Breaks. Their wines are fantastic. The people are so nice. They put up a dog park there with a three foot fence and poop station. We let our girls stretch their legs yesterday. Hopper, our terrier, was so happy to run.
