  1. Fantastic news!!!!! I'd say that has made a few Christmases ever so much better!
  2. I'm so very sorry for your heartbreaking loss of Garth. While it is not an explanation, and none would likely help, try to take comfort in the fact that he was next to you, right next to the one he loved most in the world.

I am so very sorry to see Cara's name here. She was my first galga crush. Rest well, sweetheart.
  4. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have no answers, just another who understands your pain and feelings of loss. Losing them when you know you will, and when it comes out of nowhere both cause immense pain and heartbreak. Just hold on to knowing that Merlin knew he was loved immeasurably and he would not want you to suffer.
  5. I am so sorry for your loss. I've been lurking here as I had nothing to add to the conversation. You certainly did everything possible for Reagan. Gentle hugs.
  6. Something similar happened with Tallulah yesterday. In her case the nail is whole and still attached, it looks like she split the skin. I cleaned gently and put a padded (sanitary napkin & vet wrap) wrap over it so it doesn't snag further. That means muzzling her when I am out, she is not thrilled with me. Can anyone give me an idea how long this type of thing takes to heal?
  7. I am so very sorry to hear that Sammie has flown over the bridge. Big hugs.
  8. I have been lurking here, so happy to see that things have turned for the better. Gentle hugs to Phoebe and to you.
  9. I no longer live in NYC but Animal Medical Center in mid-town was always amazing. My homecare vet, was beyond amazing, same price range as NYC vet offices and has affiliations for when you need testing, etc. Andrew Obstler, homecarevet@gmail.com. He saw Aquitaine and I through her PLC and kidney disease. She, too, had very low albumin levels but had them well before diagnosis (that came after her splenectomy and tumor removal). I lost her to osteo so I have to say that Andy and AMC did a tremendous job helping me with her. Both were very open to me using supplements along with traditional medicine as well.
