Lisa, I'm so sorry...could it be that maybe your DH is just simply not ready, or he is worried that he would be "betraying" Dusty by adopting another? Or could it be that he secretly thinks that YOU aren't ready? I think it would feel good for the two of you to attend a m&g and just ease yourselves back into the greyhound world...Lisa73's idea is also good...allow him to read what you've written to us, and see what he says...when it's a good time for both of you, Dusty will send a pup to take care of you

Oh Nan, my heart breaks for you as I read this and cry at my friend's keyboard (we are all staying here because of the blizzard we are having)...I guess I should try not to get their keyboard all wet but I'm finding it hard to do so...please know that you are in our thoughts

He DOES look very little...and very beautiful! It's wonderful to remember those that have touched our lives...this is such a greyt forum because it allows us all to talk about our feelings in an environment in which we know that others will understand...hugs to you and your family and everyone else out there too

When visiting the kennel yesterday to learn about doing some volunteering, I met a beautiful blue brindle girl who was kept as a brood mom and is now 8 years old...I'll tell you right now if I was able to adopt, she would have been going home with me, except for the fact that she has already been adopted - so of course I'm overjoyed for her! She is going to make a wonderful companion!
