  2. Does anyone have a handout or list of things that should be avoided in the hounds yards. New adopters sometimes ask about pesticides and plants that they must avoid. I know I have seen this somewhere, but darned if I could find it now! So to all the GT'ers that are much better organized than I am, could you please share your handouts or websites to review??? Thanks for your expertise!!! Secrets dum momma
  3. Ekko has been a bright spot in so many people's lives here on Greytalk! She will eb truly missed! Run free sweet Ekko, and rest easy, your famibly will have lots of love from the greytalk peeps!
  4. You have all my thoughts and prayers for your precious Cash. I paid for the biopsy tests on my Izzy to speed the diagnosis. He responded well to the treatment at first. It was an amazing transformation. Go for it, it does not really bother the pups too much. The shaved spots bothered Izzy more than the biopsy sites. If Izzy had been starved before I got him and had damage to his liver and kidneys already. I would still have him today if not for that damage when this disease reared it's ugly head the second time, he just had nothing left to fight with. Your Cash hopefully does not have the challenges that Izzy had. If you can afford the biopsy, it is the best way to find out and treat the disease quickly. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sherrie
  5. It is so hard to write this right now. But somehow it is healing also. Izzy took a turn for the worse yesterday, continued to getworse through the night. We took him to the vet this morning, and discovered that theImmune Mediated Polymyositis was back and this time it took his liver withit. We had escaped the damage last week, but not this time. Izzy now walks painfree, proud and gracious over the rainbow bridge. He will never again be afraid ofthunderstorms. He will smile and playwith every stuffie he can find now. God speed my precious boy!! You taught us to love again when we were broken with the loss of Kendra. You taught us that the past doesnot matter. Your gentle soul and lovingspirit will always be with us. Love and kisses from your human momma and daddyman! We will miss you, but never forget you!!!

  17. I have been researching how to make homemade treats, and things for my pups when they are recovering from illness. I know that there are experts out there that have cracked the nutritional aspects, and would like to ask them to share. I have seen recipies for pedialite, low salt treats, chicken and rice etc. But there does not seem to be anywhere that they are all together. And some that I have seen in the past, seems to have disappeared. Can everyone share there special recipies that they have come up with to help our houndies???? Sherrie, slave to Secret and Izzy going to be spending more time in the kitchen
  18. Dorrie please feel better!! Your houndie friends Secret and Izzy
