I have second guessed all my euthansia decisions (I have 6 at the Bridge) except one. And I waited way too long for her. I think it comes with the territory. When you give them the kindest gift of all, you will always question it. People who don't care, don't have that problem. So it just proves how much you loved her.

Tara, I'm sorry Treetop has this horrid disease. {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}} To those who want to put weight on their amp dogs, don't forget that the missing limb had weight to it, so you really don't want them at their original weight again. Also, lighter is better. Less weight (strain) on the remaining single leg. Of course I'm not talking skinny, just want to point out the obvious. Sometimes the obvious is not so obvious. I'm thrilled that Katie and Python are doing so well!! And Python is a very pretty girl!!

Definitely get antibiotics. My Opal had a little cut from a thorn bush on her tail and even though I washed it thoroughly and often it got infected. She almost lost her tail!

We did have clean margins. But the pathologist wasn't sure if it was dermal or a met. I'm going to go for an ultrasound to see if she has anything in her spleen or on her heart. Brindle had a 'spot' removed from her skin (she was my first grey baby) She went in to have it removed but wasn't waking up from anesthesia and her tummy was filling with blood. I rushed her to U of Penn where they did emergency surgery. She was loaded with cancer-hemangio. They let her go there. That spot I had removed was black. Opal's looked like a blood blister. Bright red that was just going to pop any second. So I'm really hoping it's dermal. It did look totally different from the spot Brindle had. But it's still depressing. I've lost three to cancer of the spleen.

It's hemangiosarcoma.

Just because he's a galgo doesn't mean none of the greyhounds wouldn't welcome him. He's a cousin. He'll have hundreds if not thousands to greet him. I'm so sorry he's leaving.
