  1. I remember your Asta. I didn't realize she left. She was absolutely gorgeous.
  2. Riverhounds's Brees hasn't slowed down a whit! You'd never known she had a broken leg. (just ask my chickens! )
  3. I've been following all of Tori's topics. Love the bed fail pix. I have tears in my eyes when I saw her name here.
  4. Dr Couto just gave a talk about that at GIG. I approached him about it because my vet did ask for the TSH test as follow up and it was high. He said for me to mail him the results and he would determine if my girl is hypothyroid. So the minimum for you to do is get a TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone). Greyhounds are notorious for very low T4 and still have a normal functioning thyroid. If you also have that result, send them to Dr. Couto.
  5. Someone at GIG had a very obese grey. Looked like a lab. I didn't say anything, but I wanted to. But according to the Nittany article, my girls are fine. (Bwat's a little underweight, just a tad, Emma is perfect and Tanzi is fine or maybe a lb overweight. Just a tad)
  6. Fiona was a gorgeous girl. I'm so sorry she has left you. I've lost too many to cancer of the spleen.
  7. He looks perfect. What I am finding out is that most people think FAT dogs are a good weight. I am sickened by the number of obese pets out there. Not just a little overweight, but downright obese. And people think that's a good weight. I keep my girls a smidge overweight....like maybe 3-5 lbs. But really, most people have become accustomed to seeing fat dogs.
  8. I'm so sorry. It's bad enough when the pain from the disease means it's time. But to lose her while trying to give her more quality life is just heartwrenching.
  9. I'm so sorry to hear Egon is gone. He was a very handsome boy, and from your description, he had a wonderful personality.
  10. Marc, those pix of her, especially the first one with that huge smile, show an exceptional lady. I'm sorry she's gone.
  11. Aw, gee. Heep has lost a lot. I'm so sorry to hear that Yvain died suddenly.
  12. I don't know where you are but Dr. Couto will be in Gettysburg this coming weekend. I heard he's going to be there all weekend. Maybe you can talk to him in person.
  13. Dan, I'm so very sorry Queen left because of that horrid OS. It seems especially hard when you are together 24/7. I lost my younger brother several years ago. I've also lost 6 greys. And I miss all of my greys much more than my own brother, because they lived with me.
