I'm so sorry Diane. He just saw that he was my beloved Topaz's nephew. She's been there since 1999 so she knows the ropes really well. She'll show him all around. His first cousin Crystal is also there. It'll be a nice family reunion.

Oh Irene, I'm so sorry. I was his SS this year. I can't believe he's gone.

I had one with OS and she was 12. I drove from NJ to OH just to see Dr. Couto (when he was at OSU). She acted like a dog much younger than 12 and wanted his opinion on getting an amputation on such an old dog. He said age is only a number. She spent the day getting checked out and it was determined that she was strong enough for amputation. So we did. We had a rough 2 weeks which seems to be the norm. (whether it's pain, or the pain meds or just adjustment to losing a limb) But it seemed like a light switch suddenly turned on and she was her normal happy self running around chasing deer. She adapted very well. Her lungs remained clear the entire 6 months I had left with her. OS hit another of her legs. And those 6 months were terrific.

Opal's had recurring infections in her anal glands. She had them removed last year and has been fine since.

I have a 10 yr old and keep worrying every day about her. I'm so sorry Paisley's time had come.

Oh I sure hope that is the cause. That means this could be a one time deal!

Candice, I was in tears when I first found out. But I am so glad I got to meet him. He was surely very special. Give Carolina a hug and kiss for me.

Do you know of any diseases that you may have in Aust. that's not here in the states? Our vets may not know about it.
