3 of my 6 eat a totally raw diet of duck, chicken and beef. Raw. Bones and all. We are 100% for it. My raw eaters teeth are so white and clean, they shine! They have no bad breath at all. There is absoluteley so smell to their breath.My other 3 don't for various reasons. I wish they would. Rawhide is a no no in this house.

Hi everyone, Does anyone here use the Preventic collar? We used the advantage multi which does not cover tics. We are heading to an area where we will encounter a lot of tics this weekend. Vet said Preventic collar. What does the jury say?

We tried on both Elsie and Beau and after 4 weeks we saw no results. Vet said we should have seen something. We stopped. We are continuing with acupuncture. I also find that the CMO (with the glucosomine and msm) seem to help. The CMO is good stuff. We get that at greyhound gang. Claudia can help you put together what you need.

OY- Just seeing this. that's the kind of thing that happens in our house. I am so sorry for both of you.

We had a play date with Freddy Girls kids yesterday. She had come over after her vet appointment for Tommy to check out a lump I found on his neck last week. It was nothing. As I was stroking Elsie's neck, I found a marble sized lump that looked irritated. It was on the back of her neck. It was not the same type of lump. It was hard and attached. I brought her in yesterday and it was surgically removed. Vet thinks it's either mast cell or...??? I just lost my train of thoought.... She is such a greyt patient, vet could do it under a local as any sedation takes a huge toll on her. She has a 2 inch incision where it was removed and was demanding cookies and barking in our faces all night for a change. Vet seemed pretty optimistic either way. If it was mast cell, it was under 3 mm and she should be OK and if it were ????? it would be completely benign. (Can someone help me with that, my brain is already fried today) Elsie beat breast cancer in 2009. She will be 13 in May. My Elsie Lou and I are partners. I am her girl. She aint going nowhere. My beautiful Elsie.

Agreed. My Beau has had IBD since 2009- He can't have beef or chicken. You can just brush. There are vegetable chews- (I have not used them) but you need to check the ingredients. You would not believe how many things have chicken broth in it.

Anything is possible how it could have happened. RE: another dog, etc. We have been around them 24/7 since Friday and Ponch is not usually too far from my butt! Unless he is running track around the dining room table or flying up and down the stairs! As of this evening, I would say it's 60% + better. If for any reason it looks any worse tomorrow, I will bring him in. Thanks!

Its not red inside at all. Just swollen. Like a bar room brawl!

Woke up this morning to Ponchie's left eye almost closed and swollen., In a human world, it looks like a black eye, It's swollen and puffy but not black and blue on the outside. He is a major crazy boy. I mean crazy so it is possible he hurt himself. I want to make sure there isn't something medical I should be concerned about, other than a brusied eye.
