  1. This is the best information.
  2. We have 3 tags for our dogs. I dare Columbia MO to tell us what to do in our house. We take their collars off in the house. When they are outside they have their coats on and you can’t see their tags anyway. We put the collars and tags when we walk them.
  3. Should we leave the collar and tags in our house and in our yard? We will have them with the tags when we walk them.
  4. Monica, Be sure to put yourself on the lists. Is my stuff there?
  5. Do you pick up your greyhound's water at night? We want to give ours a chance to not pee in the living room at night.
  6. Ducky, I always look for my boys on your thread. Gus still brings tears to my eyes.

    Gus

Goodbye to Gus. He had liver failure. He got to the point where he didn't eat at all.
  8. Ducky, thanks. I'm tearing up again. (per Social in April)
  9. Is it too soon to be thinking about another hound?
  10. I thought I was handling Social well until I read this. Now I'm crying.
  11. Thank you everyone. Your kind words made Social's passing bearable.
  12. The Vet was very gentle with him. We had Social for 8 years.
  13. I know we're sad. He's only 13. But he has lived a good long life. He's lucky cancer hasn't claimed him before this.

    Social

Social will be leaving us at 5:00 today. He has bone cancer. He'll be with his drinking buddy, Duke, over the rainbow bridge.
  15. Brego is beautiful. I'm also from St. Louis. We make it back there for the ballgames. I'm glad you chose your own name for him. He'll answer to any name attached to food. He will continue to show more personality for a year or more. We've had Gus for 2 years. He keeps surprising us.
  16. Here's my boy. The cone of shame. This is his right rear leg. It was about 20 stitches. It looks a lot better than it did last Saturday.
  17. The tear is on his upper thigh on his right rear leg. They didn't cover it. They want it open to the air so it'll heal faster. DH keeps antibiotic creme on it to keep it soft. We've decided to go with the cone when we can't supervise him. Eating, drinking, going out he goes without the cone. Otherwise it goes back on. He hates it but has to wear it.
  18. Social had a tear in his leg that required 20 stitches. He's getting better but has to wear a "cone of shame" so he doesn't nip at his stitches. Would a muzzle work too?
  19. :hehe :hehe Buddibear, I told DH about your story. He wants to know if your hound had a couple of beers to go with that pizza.
