  1. I am so sorry you have to go through this again. You gave Mouse the best life any dog could have gotten ! My thoughts and prayers are with you !
  2. Wow Sheila you are talented - you made the pin ? It is adorable ! (my birthday is in June - hint, hint
  3. No advice - haven't had that happen here yet (and hopefully won't) But, owie ! and Hugs to all for a quicker recovery..........
  4. As everyone had said to me , we can't beat ourselves up over the "What ifs". I was standing right there - it took all of 5 seconds from beginning to end ! The vet said that their skin is so thin that it doesn't take much to tear it. Hang in there, the first night was the worse, Molly had two drains (got them on Thursday) and she was able to have them out today ! She is already wanting to play with the others , that's what's killing her right now ! She needs to hang low for a week ! Yikes ! Hugs to you and Cali again for a speedy recovery, and a restful night for you -the stress just wipes you out, take care of your baby and yourself. (I just had a four hour nap - well needed after the past two days! - Hopefully you'll be able to do the same.)

  8. Thank you to all for your kind words, I guess it's just the mama in all of us that makes our tummies queazy when anything happens to our babies, especially when we are literally right there and feel like maybe we could have stopped it. I realize that what you all have said to me I too would say to you had the tables beeen turned (and it sounds like they are/have been !) Molly is resting peacefully tonight. She cried this morning for about 4 hours, the vet gave me tramadol and it does the trick ! Within an hour she was ready to play with Pippi (the beagledor - she is still giving Emma bad looks) Of course - she wasn't allowed to play so, she spent most of the day velcroed to me. her wounds and drains all look good today and she has not tried to pick them (she has pjs on anyway) from Fiona3: "She nipped him, he pulled away and ended with a large tear in the skin on his shoulder. Tonight his is back at home from the vets with a drain & stitches in his shoulder much like your Miss Molly has. He is groggy and uncomfortable. The entire incident was over in 2 seconds. No matter what we do it seems like these things just happen. " I am so sorry about Zeke, my vet said they have such thin skin that it doesn't take much, especially if they "pull' Sending lots of healing thoughts from Miss Molly to Zeke ! And hugs to you ! Again, thanks to all of you !
  9. I don't even know where to begin...... everything was so greyt ! Heep - Emma says "tank yoo" for making her first Christmas in a home soooo special ! Her very first "own" collar (she's been wearing Molly's now, she has her own and it is perfect !), the stuffies and the Trudy treats and Target card for me - you are truly awesome ! Cully - the stuffies are greyt !, the treats were a big hit and the chocolate for me - it's all so greyt ! And , Molly loves her new necklace and looks beautiful in it ! The hats are too funny ! Of course I think the girls look like nurses in them ! Tammymacb - Pippi says thanks for the monkey (although, I think Emma has claimed it), the treats were so yummy (she shared) And of course that candy for me is one of my favorites ! The "Pippi" ornament is so cute - it's all fabulous ! Retiredracers - Emma and Molly say thanks for the Holiday stuffies (as you can see in the pic below - Pippi is playing "thief") - It's all good ! "Nurse Emma": Emma's beautiful new collar: Molly's beautiful new necklace: Pippi "stealing" the stuffies: All the loot: "Nurse Molly": Thanks to all our Santas for making this so exciting !
  10. Good news - glad she's doing well ! A Merry Christmas it will be !
  11. Hope Flash is getting better ! Here's a cookie for Flash :
  12. Yes, check the next post about Molly - I was calling you to let you know about that.
  13. Yesterday, the girls were out for play time, they were getting into all the "new" stuffies we received from Secret Santas. Well, apparently Emma had the screaming monkey and Molly went for it ................. bad move for Molly.............. it all happened so fast, I tried to break it up, I got bit on my face and not even sure by who ! Emma had the monkey and went to her crate (now remember, she's stitched up from her spay Tuesday and her tail is bandaged from happy tail) , Molly went SCREAMING and running into the kitchen - there was blood, it was horrible (I didn't even realize I had gotten bit while I was worried about the dogs.)At first I am thinking it was the blood from Emma's tail or her stitches all popped...... Well, Emma was fine, Molly - not so. She had gotten bit by Emma in the front left leg and on her left side. Well, it was bad, so off to the vet (who I love) She took her in right away, 5 hours .... $400..... many stitches............and two drains later.................we are back home. My first nightmare (and hopefully my last). I am sick to my stomach thinking what could I have done, I seperate them for eating because Emma is very possesive over food and treats but I would have never guessed it over a screaming monkey - yikes ! I took pics last night and will post them as soon as I get them loaded. -It was a long night, although Molly was loopy - she was very uncomfortable and cried most of the night. The boo boos: Molly resting: Guilty parties involved:
  14. Thanks for all the advice ! We bandaged it last night and she hasn't pulled it off (Of course she is busy trying to get to her spay stitches - her spay was Tuesday - we might have to get the lampshade out today) Poor girl, 2 boo boos in a week - of course they are not even phasing her as she is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY here ! I have never seen a pupper that roaches half as much as she does - she is Queen Roachie ! She was even roaching in the car on the home from her spay Tuesday ! She puts a smile on my face everytime I look at her ! I'm hoping her happy tail heals and we won't ever have to amp it ! Poor Psi (Although there is plenty of it too, like Susan's old dog)
  15. thanks so much ! fortunately, DH does highway construction and has these huge industrial size first aid kits with everything in them ! he is going to the truck now to get it so, we can get busy...............................and emma will sit perfectly still through all these steps right ? seriously - thank you - I wasn't worried the first time but, 4 times - I was starting to worry -thanks for the advice !
  16. Don't be sad - you must feel better for the Holidays !
  17. I hope her footsies feel better real soon ! Hugs to you and Hannah both !
