I know that the answers to "why" are not always there. The excitement of the heart and the expectation of joy and love to come are so very strong. I know your hearts were overflowing for what was to be. I'm so sorry that Dani's story could not have been longer. We hold you hurting hearts close to ours and hope that what could have been will remain joyful, knowing Dani was loved.

Clearly a heart hound who left her imprint on you from the beginning and guided you in the welcoming of all the other hounds who have stepped into your life since then. I know Marc, that she taught you well in all things Greyhound and she will be sorely missed here and in the Kingdon that is Blackwood.
Yep! The girlies all do it in a very ladylike manner. Gustopher P Jones, however, ALWAYS burped like an old, fat, bald man, sittin on the couch in his shorts, scratchin, drinkin beer and eating Cheetos. And always up in your face with it.

Never accept a prescription if you feel the label or the medication may be wrong. Too many mistakes by pharmacy personel. Please clarify and identify the pills and their strength. Safety first!

My vet just faxed the Rx over and I could get six months worth for about $50.00. They have good prices, good customer service and I never had a single problem with them. We also monkey'd around with Rose's dosage to put her on the least amount needed.
Gustopher P Jones use to stand in the doorway of the kitchen and stare at me until I put his drops in and if I forgot he would stand there until I did it! At night he wouldn't come to bed until his drops were in. He was the compliant one about his meds. Once you've done it a few times it will become easy. Time4anap is right about tilting up the head/face.
I can't tell you how very sorry I am that Vera wasn't able to stay with you longer. It is your special heart and its devotion to seniors that speaks volumes to your abundant love and gentle care Vera was blessed to have while she was with you. It takes but a second of time for them to settle into our hearts forever.

A special kiss coming for Rascal from his Miami peeps
Wabi has always been the shining star that makes us believe in the love of people for their hounds and hounds for their people. Her fearlessness in the face of physical limitations showed her strength and determination to live her life to the fullest. It is a lesson that we could all live by. Your life Xan, was so very blessed by the presence of Wabi as hers was by the love you gave her along the gift of allowing her to be "herself". Our hearts cry with yours on the loss of this very special pup who made such a heartfelt impact on us all.

We are heartbroken for you and for ourselves as well. Wabi has always, and will forever, be a bright star within our world. Run free and whole pretty girl...
There is something very special about these older girls. A quiet dignity in the way they behave, holding themselves above the rest of the mere mortals and canines of a household. Their soft and sweet girlie side loves you unconditionally just as you love them. How blessed you are to have lived with such a beautiful girl and how very blessed she was to be loved by you and the family she adopted. I know she will be truly missed.

As hard as it is to say goodbye to our precious pups, we choose to do it over and over again. We do this because the love and joy they give us is so very much more than the pain of having to let them go. I have looked at that special picture of Brandee and Charley over my fireplace every day and it reminds me of not only how beautiful your pictures are, but also the idea that they are a gift to us that does not last forever. We are blessed with them for such a short time in the grand span of our lives to be loved and cherished. We have learned much from them and we are better humans for having known them. I'm so sorry Craig, that Brandee couldn't stay. Thank you so much for sharing Brandee with us through your beautiful photos and allowing her to belong to us all. We hold you and your family in our hearts during this time of great sadness.

Gustopher P use to wait in the kitchen every morning for his eye drops and would stand there until I put them in. He also got used to having his big play times in the evenings as sunlight exacerbates pannus. I loved my doggie eye doctor and she loved Gus...
Thinking of you and Mike and Heart tonight. Sending wishes for a peaceful healing weekend for you all. And an extra hug for J. Bean hoping she is back to her usual precious self.
