I had been feeding mine Taste of the Wild Roasted Smoked Salmon - grain-free.  My vet told me last week to switch to a food with grain in it as they now have 3 dogs in the practice with

DCM.  I just switched to Taste of Wild Roasted Smoked Salmon - Ancient Grain.  They adjusted to it quickly.

I get mine from Bluebird Botanicals.  I use Signature 250 mg because it has frankincense in it, which I need for my girl due to her epilepsy.  I put it in her food twice a day and she just laps it up with no problem.

My boy LOVES the cold weather. Now he has an extremely heavy coat for a greyhound and he has it year round, so it's not like he's going to freeze, but I do keep watch and he's not allowed out for more than 10 minutes if it's that cold.

Really hate to see that. I've known so many GREAT dog businesses that started so small and then prospered and then were promptly sold and that was the end of all the things that made them great in the first place. KV Vet Supply is one too. Its still in business but is no where close to what it used to be. I used to spend so much there and then they were sold, and changed, and now they are completely off my radar. So many. I am surprised that Chewy is still pretty much like it was although I have noticed price increases.

 

I wasn't aware that KV Vet had been sold but that explains why they have gotten so SLOW over the last year when I order an RX refill, etc.

My greyhounds never cared for them, but my Saluki and my Podenco love them. Also keeps their teeth nice and clean.

[Heavy Shedding]

The light colored greys shed horribly twice a year. It was awful during the summer with the heat and humidity, especially in June and July. My Vet said everyone was complaining. I expect he will start up again within the next few weeks. I can brush every day and get a "small dog".

I've been giving my guy CBD Oil for his arthritis and disk problems in his neck and it definitely has helped him. He also takes Tramadol and Previcox, but adding the CBD oil has made a big difference in his mobility and he is more playful now with his sisters.

My little girl has epilepsy and my vet said that we could not use any of those products, which I never have. I guess I'm lucky that Frontline Plus still works for my three.

I used it with success for one of my greys who had SA. It also helped when I leash walker her and she started heeling instead of pulling constantly.

My 11-1/2 year old boy, Go Dodgem, is out of Gable Dodge and Okie Leona. WigWam Wag was his grandfather. So far his only problem is disc issues in his neck and some hind weakness, but nothing else besides getting older.

One of my greyhound boys was becoming snarky after we had him for 6 months. He was put on Soloxine 0.06 mg and within days he was his normal happy self and his T4 wasn't as low as Truman's.

My vet said I can't use Nexgard for my girl who has epilepsy. Frontline Plus is fine for us.

My boy is on 0.6 mg twice a day. He is WHITE and he sheds something awful twice a year. His coat is very thick and very soft. All of my light colored greyhounds shed. My black one and the brindles did not.
