  1. Good looking dude! Doesn’t look a day over 9.
  2. That face is so much like my girl in middle-age that I stared at for a good while. Wasn’t expecting it to look so much like her based on “dark brindle Greyhound walking through the woods”. Was also surprised when it put Soleil’s “brindle patch over one ear” on the left ear without me saying it. Then I realized it had at least a 50/50 chance of getting that one right. Was much less impressed then.
  3. Those are all wonderful! So I was feeling a bit wistful today and decided to give this a try. Was trying to make things that remind me of my dear friends of the past. Sunita, who never put a paw wrong (it couldn't get the ETS right) Soleil, the goofball Stellaluna, the perpetual puppy Venus, ever serious but always loved a good hike And Pepper Bear, all the world was her chew toy, including my shoes, a couch, a wok, etc. etc. etc. ... Being honest, the AI got things really close, like scarey close.
  4. I’m sorry you & your girl are going through this. It definitely sucks, big time. I have a few more words to describe it but I don’t want to get banned. Still hoping for the best.
  5. Happy 13, Face!! You’re a teenager now. That’s a lovely thing!
  6. I just saw my gecko lick her eyeball & it reminded me of Punkin.
  7. Pretty Wiki, are you sleeping off a watermelon coma?
  8. Lovely! 💕 And with such a beautiful grey, Grey face. It is most definitely a thing. Reminds me so much of my most beloved Luke. Before him we had a strict “no dogs on the furniture” rule. Luke, adopted at 10.5 yo, took one look at the sofa & decided that’s where his old bones would be most comfortable. And just like that we had a new “black dog on the sofa is okay” rule.
  9. Allergies? Stress licking? Pain? I’ve had dogs who did all of that. The worst looking was my senior who had started to have spinal issues. He licked so much in one week his toes looked raw. Took him to vet. She started him in pain meds & licking stopped. The allergies for my dog were not food related. Seemed more seasonal & bathing with medicated shampoo every couple weeks handled it. There are so many possible causes. A vet visit would be a place to start.
  10. Sometimes being a photographer requires great courage. We all get to benefit from your courage. Great shots!!
  11. Definitely get your pup to vet ASAP. I hope you see improvement. While I’ve not had your exact experience, I did have a dog who would have weakness as a side effect of anesthesia of any sort. He had a slowly progressive polyneuropathy, a lower motor neuron disease. Anesthesia adversely effected his condition. While he was slow to recover his strength after anesthesia, he usually did recover, though not completely every time. Later in life he would recover to a point, but to some degree, anesthesia would permanently set him back. Illness has the same effect. I’m thinking of something else though. Something like spinal arthritis can cause pain & weakness. This could be exacerbated by something like a long medical procedure, perhaps the position held during a dental? That’s just speculation. If your dog recovered most of the way from anesthesia but later went downhill again, it may be from a pre-existing disease. The dental may seem like the trigger but perhaps was just the last straw on an already fragile situation. Perhaps it was just the tipping point? Hopefully your vet can get you some answers & effective treatment.
