I was feeding CANIDAE for Seniors and they changed their food. Now my two greys will not eat it. I tried Blue Buffalo Brand and it made both have diarea and now I have tried NUTRO Natural for Seniors and my female seems to be fine with this food but my Male is very gassy and will not eat it unless he is very hungry. Any suggestions?

To start, you usually don't need to feed a senior food. Do your dogs have any health issues?
A lot of times the senior versions have more fillers than the regular version, and that can cause more issues (from gas, to voluminous poop).

I agree with Ola that I wouldn't feed a senior the "senior" food either. I have my 11.5yr old male on Chicken Soup Lite b/c he has issues with the fat content in regular food. My vet recommend lite versions of most dog foods for greys that are gassy and have diarrhea b/c it has less fat. You could try adding canned pumpkin, all natural plain yogurt and probiotics. I used canned pumpkin and probiotics for my senior boy and he is much less gassy than he used to be.

I've had 5 hounds eating Diamond Naturals senior kibble for years (some were not yet seniors) and they all do/did well on it and like it better than many foods we've tried. Firmer stools than with other foods, which is the main reason I use it even with younger dogs. Good quality ingredients, reasonable price, available at feed stores in many areas.

My senior loves Solid Gold Hund -n- Flocken; both my greys are on it and it's the only food that doesn't give them horrible gas that they'll still eat, my senior especially--he loves it, and he's quite picky indeed.
