I have given my pups chicken feet before. They look nasty hanging out of the mouth, but they love them and I have been told that they are a good source of glucosamine and chondroitin. Where do others get the chicken feet for their pups? I can't seem to find them locally anymore. thanks.

I get them at the Hispanic grocery. If you have Asian or Hispanic groceries near you try them.

I'm in NC and any Piggly Wiggly carries them.
BlackandBrindle
Asian stores here carry them, as does the co-op I order from.

Not sure where you are. I saw fresh chicken feet in the meat market of Winn Dixie last night. This is a chain grocery store in a more 'ethnically diverse' part of Gainesville; is that politically correct enough? smile.gif

I'd imagine you can find chicken feet on the bottom of the legs of a chicken lol.gif lol.gif

I get mine from the Mexican grocery store and the Asian grocer has them as well. THey're usually about $1 per pound. I spread them out on a cookie sheet in the freezer for about 20 minutes and then stick them in a freezer bag in the freezer. This way they don't stick to each other.

Yeah, they're gross but Miss Trixie adores them!

Of course I HAD to look! lol.gif

I find them at the WalMart in the 'ethnic' part of town. I usually wait until I see them on markdown, then buy ALL of them smile.gif

At least one Super Wal-Mart here in Louisville carries them. Also, I've found them consistently at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati.
