Does anyone feed Blue Buffalo? I have had good success with the canned food, and it is cheaper than what I had been buying. I want to try the kibble, and see if it ends up being cheaper than Canidae, but with the same, positive results. Thoughts? Experiences? One of my guys has been on Canidae for over 4 years, and transitioned to the new formula very well, it's just so expensive! My other guys just switched to Canidae after over 2 years on a prescription diet and is doing well also on the Canidae, with Blue Buffalo canned mixed in (he's the only one that gets canned, my other does not).

Jennifer, I briefly tried the BB lamb & rice, and it got a unanimous thumbs-down from my pack. I don't think we made it a week before I had to make a change.
Just my own experience - I'm sure others will have had more luck.

My four love the lamb and rice formula and do very well on it; I also tried the chicken and rice but for some reason that gave the boys big time "D"...the girls were fine. Who knows? I've not tried their canned food.

Mine refused to eat the blue pieces. So no point in buying it again.

Sophie has been on it for about a year and is doing great on it. She is on the large breed chicken and rice because it has added glucosamine and contrition.

My cats eat it and do wonderfully on it. I have a 17 yr old senior kitty that threw up on every food and this has made huge changes around here. Sorry, haven't tried it with my dogs but if I needed to change foods I would not hesitate to try it seeing how well it has done for the kitties.

I have two greyhounds and one beagle. They all eat Blue Buffalo and like it well. They don't especailly like the fish flavor and it tends to loosen up their poop. They can tolerate the chicken but love the Lamb flavor. I just started using it three or months ago. They were on Nutro Ultra but started to have problems with it. The Blue Buffalo cost $42.95 for a 30 lb bag. Not cheap by any means.

I sold it for a while and ended up with coupons for bags I couldn't use. My iffy tummy guy had gone to the bridge but Poo and Buck just couldn't eat the Blue no m atter how long I transitioned. It was just too rich for them I think.

My girls and Stranger love Blue Buffalo, especially the Organic version. However, since I didn't see any noticeable difference in their health or their skin/fur, I decided to save my money for vet bills. Bill brings home leftovers every day from the racing kennel that they eat just fine. Well, everyone except Hope, who gets primarily human food.

Luka eats the lamb and rice Blue Buffalo and loves it. He wags his tail and gives me kisses when I fill up his bowl. His stools are fine unless he gets/steals a lot of cookies at the meet and greets. I am happy with the results so far.

I have just finished my first bag of Blue Buffalo and the stools are still soft, then loose then liquid. I am thinking of adding cooked oatmeal as a breakfast treat to help calm things down. Has any one else tried this successfully?

We feed Blue Buffalo Wilderness (no grain) - the boys have done VERY well on it.

Jackie is now getting the fish/sweet potato. She loves any and all foods but did seem happy with the change to BB. First we tried the chicken/rice, but eventually tried a bag of the fish. For the first time in the 10 months we've had her she's gotten reasonably formed stool. Her usual soft serve is now firm enough you can actually pick it up without a wipe. The gas has gotten better too. I think the lesson for us was to try a variety of high quality foods (she came to us on Beneful...) and let her response be the guide. She has a great coat, her hair has grown in a little around her hiney, she's not all gassy, her poopies are normal and she loves it. Works for me
