I am looking at making my 4th kibble change in 10 weeks. I can not seem to get any solid poops... just lots of mush. So far I have been on Nutro Lamb and Rice, Canidae, and Wellness Super5 Chicken.

I'm wondering how long you generally try out a kibble before making a change?

Well first I'd resolve the bad poop. Have you checked with the vet to be certain there is nothing medical going on? Then feed bland like chicken and rice home cooked food while s/he recovers. And slowly introduce the new kibble.

To answer your question I guess I give each food about a month before switching. I've had success feeding Prairie Nature's Variety. I like that food because there is one source of protein instead of several. Canidae produced way more than I put in the dog, I swear! Wellness was just a terrible awful experience. I understand the frustration, good luck.
