Meet Cavoc....... my newest addition will arrive on 6/27

Just wanted everyone to see a couple of pics of my newest family member. I am picking him up Saturday morning. These pics are not that great (they were taken in his run at the kennel).

He is a really sweet 8 yr old GSD. His owner apparently left him in an outdoor pen with "a big bowl of food and a big bowl of water" while he went out of town. Cavoc dug under the fence and went to the neighbor's house. The neighbor had no idea that the owner was out of town, brought Cavoc back and noticed that his food and water were green.

The ACO picked Cavoc up and the owner ended up surrendering him to the shelter. Cavoc has polyps in his ears from chronic ear infections and I think that he is having problems hearing but I will know better once I get him to my house.

I can't wait to get this big guy (approx 95lbs) home and give him all of the TLC that he deserves. I will post more pics once I get him.

Aww, I'm so glad that'll be going to an owner who actually cares for him! The anticipation of picking up a new pet is always huge, I bet Saturday can't come soon enough for you!

LOL He does have great teeth, which is a huge change from what my dog's teeth look like!

Choosing him was actually very difficult. I have never had a dog from a shelter and as soon as I walked in I wanted to take all of them. I also never thought that I would have any breed other than a greyhound but I'm sure a lot of you have been down that road before too!

Yes, he is home and doing well. I will start a new thread with pics. He went to the vet tonite and his ears are sooooo painful. I feel bad for this guy b/c he has been through so much.
