Hi Everyone!! I have been reading on this forum for a little while and decided to finally join. I really love big greys and hope to adopt one of my own some day. I currently own two Italian greyhounds which I love to pieces, but something still draws me to the big guys. I have been reading lots of information on this site in anticipation of the time when I will be ready to own a greyt. I do not know when the right time will be, but I want to make sure I do not rush into such a large responsibility. I love seeing everyone's pictures, all your greys are beautiful. I hope to get to know some of you a little more, and I can't wait to learn more about this wonderful breed. Thanks!!
Katie

Welcome! You will learn a TON here. I know someone (a football player on my university's team!) who got a grey because his family has Iggies, and they all get along very well.

Hi,
Our Okie adopted us June 6, 2004. We quickly became a family...a sweeter, more gentle dog I've never met.
He loved to go for rides and got so excited when my husband took the leash off the hook. It was such a joy to have him in our home, he fast became a member of the family.
On Memorial Day, just 2 days short of his 7th birthday, we lost our Okie to brain cancer. He was fine and then he was gone. We were and are devastated. The house is really empty without him.
We decided though that to honor him and help another hound that we are going to adopt another. We're looking forward to a new member of our family. Of course a new grey can never replace Okie, but we have loads of love to give and a good home, all that can't go to waste.
I've been on Greytalk for 5 years, but just haven't posted. I love reading about the Doyle Dogs, Devon and the Zoo Crew and of course Jilly Bean and the Pack.
You all sound like wonderful people and I just wanted to say hi and tell you a bit about Okie. He was our pride and joy
