January Theme - Winter
Submit only ONE image for consideration for the month. Please do not comment on any of the submitted images.
If you are submitting an edited image, please make sure you edited the FULL SIZE image, not just the resized one you are posting on GT.
Images must be available in high resolution before you submit them to GT. The full size, uncropped image should NOT be posted, but you need to have it available if we request it.
High resolution for the calendar purpose: Full size, uncropped image should be at least 2592x1944 (this would be the large image from a 5mp camera)
For everybody's viewing pleasure, please resize your images before posting them to GT - 800x600 or so is a good size to not bog down dial up connections. But again, make sure you have the full size image to email me if we request it for the calendar.
If you submit more than 1 image in a month, I will not consider any of your images that month. Pick ONE. If you have submitted one and are unable to edit your post and wish to switch your image, report your post and ask for it to be deleted and THEN submit your new image.
The focus of the photo must be about greyhounds - there can be other dogs/pets/etc, but the focus must be the greyhound (unless otherwise specified).
If you are submitting a photo that has been edited, make sure you edited the FULL SIZE image, not just the resized image you post.
The photo should be a calendar WORTHY photo, by this I mean: in focus, clear, clutter free.
There were many 'cute' photos submitted for the 2010 calendar, but cute does not always translate to a nice or calendar worthy photo.
If you look at the calendar for 2010, you'll see the types of images that were selected - in focus, clean, clear, crisp, clutter free. Those are the 'type' of image we are looking for.
You do not have to be a professional photographer. I think there are only 2 or 3 images in there from people that I know are photographers.
Use the 2011 GT calendar as an excuse to play with your camera and torment your dogs. Get creative. Most of all, have fun while you are doing it.
